Introduction of Department
The mission of the Department of Korean Language and Literature is to teach all knowledge relating to Korean language and literature in a step-by-step method to students who can in the future contribute to Korean culture and who can promote national culture and encourage further development of the culture. To that end the department is divided into two separate majors, Korean Language and Literature (ancient and modern), allocating the subjects evenly to each major: also, more classes in these majors have been provided for students to concentrate on specific aspects of the major they find of interest.
