Department of Korean Language Education

Thank you for your visit to the web site of the department of Korean language education in the College of Education, Andong National University(ANU). This department was established on March 2012, and has as it's motto to foster talented secondary school Korean teachers with regard to emotion, intelligence and human nature. In order to implement these goals, we are offering general education, pedagogics, principals, and the most up-to-date theory of Korean language pedagogics. Also, we have prepared various facilities and systems, including scholarships, the preparation of national examinations, and group study to improve student's abilities.

In spite of the late start, we have investigated the operation of Korean language education departments among the most leading universities in Korea and established the best education system and curriculum plan, which will support students to achieve their dream as a secondary school teacher right after their graduation. Expected careers to pursue after graduation are secondary school teacher, professor, research fellow, and specialist of newspaper companies. To pursue these fields we are also formulating a plan to develop the highest degree of students' potential capacity. We assure you that this objective will be accomplished by the coordinative academic activity and college life between professors and students.
