Department of Smart Horticultural Science

Horticulture and Breeding focuses on growing mechanisms, the latest cultivation skills, new breeding skills, and biotech knowledge of major plants (vegetable, fruit, tree, flowering) in horticulture. It also studies and researches the theory and technology in a wide range of new and diverse cutting-edge fields like resource plant, tourism agriculture, organic farming, etc. The domestic horticulture industry has become more important due to increased consumer interest in well being, and the expansion of international free trade. So the objective of the course for this major (BS, MS, PhD) is to educate students to become professionals who can lead and contribute to the domestic horticultural industry through cooperative research within the industry, academic world, and the government.
